About Priya Sharma
Priya Sharma grew up in Ahmedabad before her family moved to Houston when she was twelve. She has spent the last two decades keeping Gujarati traditions alive in Texas — from teaching kids folk dances at the local mandir to co-organizing one of Houston's largest Navratri celebrations. She writes about the joy of finding your culture in a new city, the art of choosing the right chaniya choli, and why Garba at 2 AM hits different than anything else. When she is not writing or dancing, she is hunting for the best undhiyu outside of Gujarat.
